2014 Chevrolet Camaro Revealed... On a Daytime Talkshow?

To reveal the new 2014 Chevy Camaro on the talk show ahead of its official unveiling at the New York Auto Show strikes us as a rather strange choice. Regardless, that's what we're dealing with – the talk show hosts were the first people to pull the covers off the new Camaro, and you can see the results above.

Additionally, one lone low-res image was published on the talk show website, and we enlarged it, reduced noise and sharpened it as much as we could. The original low-res version can be seen in the image gallery, as can a single shot of the interior, which sadly doesn't appear to have gotten any major attention.

We don't have any great views of the car from the screenshots that have hit the web, but from what we can tell, the changes made to the Camaro for 2014 are more noticeable than we had initially thought. For instance, the front fascia is completely new, with a grille insert that looks more condensed than before. The old mail-slot opening in the center of the face has been removed on the SS model, which is an update we're okay with but is likely to be controversial.

The biggest change to the SS model is a new hood with what appears to be a functional heat extractor. The bright red Camaro seen on the talk show doesn't have any stripes, and we're curious to see how Chevy deals with these classic additions on SS models with this new hood. Out back, we note a new rear spoiler along with taillamps that lose some of the past model's retro vibe in favor of a more modern, though still squared-off, look.

According to the show's website, the 2014 Camaro's powertrain options will carry over from 2013, with a 323-horsepower V6 and a 426-hp V8, along with the 580-horse supercharged ZL1. Many more high quality images will be coming from our crew in New York before too long.

Callaway designs a 2014 Corvette Stingray shooting brake

The Callaway name is synonymous with truly unique Corvettes, with one only having to look at past creations, such as the Callaway C16 Speedster of 2007, for an idea of the types of masterpieces the company can come up with.

With the reveal of the new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, it appears Callaway founder Reeves Callaway and his crew in Old Lyme, Connecticut just couldn’t help themselves from designing another stunning custom Corvette.

This time, Callaway has gone with a shooting brake bodystyle for the Corvette, which, if this early rendering is anything to go by, lends itself rather wheel to the lines of the latest C7 generation.

The shooting brake bodystyle, traditionally a coupe with the tail of a wagon, has undergone a strong resurgence of late, appearing on a number of concepts and product cars in the recent past.

We must admit that Callaway’s take on the design is particularly handsome and we hope the company ends up building one once it finally gets its hands on one of the new Corvettes.

Callaway says its Corvette Stingray shooting brake, dubbed the AeroWagon, will be produced if demand is sufficient. The company is currently taking orders for the vehicle and says the option should cost no more than $15,000.

The rear hatch will feature carbon fiber structural components developed using Callaway’s proprietary Resin Transfer Molding process, so it should be both lightweight and strong.

Callaway also says its AeroWagon will be capable of speeds in excess of 200 mph, though it’s not clear what drivetrain is required. The 2014 Corvette Stingray, which features a 6.2-liter V-8 engine rated at an estimated 450 horsepower, is unlikely to have a top speed above 200 mph, though future versions of the car certainly will.

We’ll bring you the first photos of Callaway’s new AeroWagon as soon as we get our hands on them. If production goes as plans, the first Callaway AeroWagons will be delivered by the fourth quarter of the year.

Quality Good Appeal Good Service Good

The only thing missing was an explanation of which oil change I would receive and how much it would cost. Afterwards I had to go online to figure out which oil change I rec'd. I didn't have to pay since I had credit (newly purchased car) which was great, but when I saw the charge on my bill I thought it was a little high. I guess I rec'd the platinum since my car is newer than 2011.

2013 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance

While this year marks 60 years of the Chevrolet Corvette, the 2013 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance focused on one of the coupe's most sought after models, the 1963 Sting Ray. General Motors design boss Ed Welburn was on hand to show off the all-new C7 Corvette, but even the hard-edged styling of the 2014 Stingray couldn't take away from the beautiful 1963 models sitting out on the field.

In addition to the original Sting Ray and the 1959 Sting Ray Concept, some of the other classic 'Vettes included "Big Tank" racecars, an interesting cutaway coupe, a right-hand-drive Z06 and the attention-grabbing 1963 Corvette Rondine by Pininfarina. Another impressive Corvette was the 1964 Corvette XP-819 rear-engine prototype. Owner Mike Yager had the car finished as a driving chassis for this year's show, but promises the car will be back to its original glory in time for next year's event.

Two 5-Star Reviews on Cars.com

Daughter was going back to school when an warning light came on. We had it towed to the dealership. They called us the next day with what was wrong and the cost. After discussing our warranty, they did some research and told us exactly what we had and how long it would run.Our cost was zero. They told us when it would be done and offered to pick my wife up from work to take out to get the car. We appreciate their time and concern on our daughter's vehicle.

We worked with salesman Mike Simpson, he went out of his way to help us out. We showed up on the lot on Saturday night right at closing (not aware they were open that late). He stayed after hours let us look at vehicles and even drive one. We then made an appointment for later that week. We asked him to find out a couple questions for when we came back. He called us on Monday and had our answers. I went on line to get pre-approved for finace, I had an answer right away and they contacted me with in hours. I explained I was working with Mike and they got him the information. The trade went well and I was able to drive my new car home. All of the staff at the dealer ship was helpful and kind. I would recomend for you to check out Bob Brown Chevrolet. If you can not find a vehicle on their lot, I would be supprised.

How to Clean a Baby Car Seat

Not a day goes past I don’t get asked how to clean a baby car seat. As Mums you would know that you can expect your baby’s car seat to take quite the beating. From milk and vomit to juice spills, from poo explosions to crushed up sultanas, it can be quite the mission keeping your child’s car seat clean (not to mention the rest of your car). It is a good idea to clean the car seat as much as possible. You may want to do a good cleaning every time you clean out the rest of your car or you may only need to clean the car seat once or twice a year, depending on what habits your child has. If your bubby tends to be a spit up king, then you can expect the car seat to have quite a few stains. If your child has a tendency to want a snack in the car, then, again, you can expect more mess than a child that doesn’t eat in the car. Below is

1) The first thing you will need to do is take the car seat out of the car and place it down on an old blanket. Take off all the baby toys that are attached to the seat as well.

2) Get your vacuum and vacuum up all the dust, dirt, food and other larger particles. Try to get into the cracks of the seat as well as underneath the material by lifting it off. Use a furniture attachment to get into the hard to reach areas.

3) If you can, remove the entire car seat cover and place it into the washing machine on a gentle cycle. Or, hand wash the car seat and leave it out in the sun to dry.

4) If you can’t remove the entire car seat cover, then you can spot clean the really big stains and then leave the entire car seat in the sun to dry.

5) For the plastic portion of your baby’s car seat you can use a gentle soap and water mixture. Use an old cloth to scrub the plastic as well as the arms which tend to get the dirtiest.

6) Use a gentle mixture of soap and water to also wipe down the baby’s toys before placing them back on the car seat.

7) Reinstall the car seat back into the car as per the manual. If you had a professional install the car seat, then you may need to return back to them and have them do it again. You don’t want to find out after it’s too late that the car seat was not correctly reinstalled after it was cleaned.

Now that your car seat is nice and clean, the key is to keep it this way. Apart from refusing to let your child eat in the car (which is something that usually keeps them quiet for at least part of the journey), is there anything else you can do? If you find the answer to this question, then let us know!

The COPO Is Back! 2013 COPO Details.

If you still dream of having a COPO Camaro in your garage, now is the time to get excited. For 2013, Chevrolet Performance is making another run of 69 of the strip-shredder, and there are some exciting new features that will appeal to the hard-core racers.

First we'll get into what we're sure is your biggest question, the engines. This year will see three engines like last year, but in different configurations. The wildly popular 427 stays and gets the biggest spotlight. Which is good, considering over half of last year's 69 examples were ordered with the big V-8. This year it stays at 425 horsepower. A new entry-level LS-based 350 rated at 325 horsepower also joins the roster. But what sits in the middle is the real newsmaker. Fans who were around in 1969 to see the release of the original Camaro will wax nostalgic over the final configuration, an LS-based 396-cu.-in. big-block engine, making the same 375 horsepower it did under the hood of the 1969 Camaros. New for 2013 is a standard Holley EFI controller on all configurations, which pays a nice homage to the Holley carburetors every 1969 COPO Camaro came with as standard. All three engines are hand-built and are still LS-based, so tried-and-true tuning will work just the same on the familiar architecture, making it easy to set up your COPO to run down the competition.

The big news is what bolts to the engine's output, however. While the 2-speed automatic transmission carries over from the 2012 model, there will be an optional manual transmission available for the 2013 cars, allowing you to row the gears yourself.

In all, every configuration is good for a wide variety of NHRA Stock Eliminator classes. With a portfolio of engines as diverse as the COPO, the 427, 396, and 350 allow the car to run in any Stock Eliminator class from E all the way up to AA, needing only curb weight adjustments for each configuration to see itself in any of three classes.

On the outside, we see five colors available that were offered on the 2012 car - Summit White, Victory Red, Ashen Gray Metallic, Silver Ice Metallic, and Black. Several exterior changes will help you distinguish 2013 cars from 2012s, including a revised front-end appearance sporting halogen headlamps and the Chevrolet Accessories body-color Heritage grille, as well as updated optional COPO graphics.
